Frequently asked questions

Last updated: July 2026

The honest answers to what guests ask us most, before they book. If your question isn't here, just write to us, we're a small house and we reply ourselves.

Where is Boutique Hotel Zenana?

We're on the main street of San Candido (Innichen), inside the pedestrian centre, in Alta Pusteria, South Tyrol. The Baranci ski lifts are a three-minute walk away, and the train station on the Val Pusteria line is a few minutes on foot, so you can reach us and get around without a car.

Is breakfast included?

Yes. Zenana is a bed & breakfast, and a home-made breakfast is included in every stay. We don't have a restaurant, only breakfast: it's part of what we are, a house rather than a large hotel.

Is there parking?

Yes. Covered parking is included, which matters in a pedestrian town centre; it's subject to availability, so let us know if you're arriving by car. Once here, most guests leave the car and walk for days.

Do you allow pets?

Small pets are welcome, for a charge of 15 euro per day. Please tell us in advance so we can prepare the right room.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 1:00 pm to 7:30 pm, and check-out is by 10:30 am. Early check-in or late check-out may be possible on request, for a fee and subject to availability; if you arrive outside these hours, just let us know beforehand.

Do you have a spa or a restaurant?

No, and we say so plainly. Zenana is a boutique bed & breakfast: no spa, no restaurant, only a home-made breakfast. What we offer instead is character, design and personal hospitality, in a house from 1753.

What kind of rooms do you have?

Ten rooms, each named after a woman and each with its own colour and story, in a historic house from 1753. They range from small, intimate doubles to larger rooms for two or three; two of them, Zenobia and Lakshmi, have a kitchenette.

Is Wi-Fi free?

Yes, Wi-Fi is free throughout the house.

Can I reach you without a car?

Yes, easily. San Candido has its own station on the Val Pusteria railway, a few minutes' walk from us, and the centre is pedestrian. With the regional mobility card you can travel the whole valley by bus and train, so a car isn't necessary.

How much do the rooms cost?

Rooms start from €275 per night, per room and with breakfast included, up to around €400 for the largest suites. Prices vary by season and availability; for the exact rate for your dates, write to us or use the booking page.

How do I book directly?

The best rates and the easiest changes come from booking directly with us: use the booking page or simply write to us with your dates, and you'll reach Anna, not a call centre.
